Also, So are the ultra kaze 3000rpm fans better then the CoolerMaster Excalibur's? and are they better then the GT's?

Thanks, Sir Overkill.

link to GT series:
http://www.frozencpu.com/cat/l3/g/c15/s60/list/p1/b14/Scythe-12_Volt_Fans-120mm_x_25mm_Fans-Page1.html

please keep in mind that the CM fan is a PWM fan (speed is adjustable) while the GT fans have fixed speed depending on the model.

the excalibur and the gt's are 120mmx120mmx25mm fans while the kaze is thicker at 120mmx120mmx35mm

also the kaze is a fixed-RPM fan and it performs better than the excalibur while also being louder at 45.90dBA (fixed) vs 30.00 dBA (max)

Really? Which ones can be adjusted? and is the ultra kaze 3000rpm adjustable? is it better then the GT's and Excalibur's or what? I love how high the rpm's go on the series but from what I can see in Australia they are not avalible. frown.gif

Thanks, Sir Overkill. smile.gif

EDIT: so with GT's and Kaze, No need for a fan controller? well hereing all this which fan is the best that can be turned down??? I really want adjustable fans, and how loud they are dosen't matter really as long as they aren't too loud when they are running slow.

Thanks, Sir Overkill.

You know of any fans that are adjustable and are better then all three?

They are for two 360 Black ice GT extreme Rads.

Thanks, Sir Overkill. smile.gif

if noise is not an issue, i would go with this:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835213001

it's loud, and you need a fan controller like the scythe fans, but it moves a TON of air

I can't believe my eyes!

GentleTyphoon and Ultra Kaze fans ARE adjustable just like any other fan, you just need a fan controller. Considering they can be had for as little as $10 I wouldn't worry about it. Additionally, the GentleTyphoon outperforms the UltraKaze at the same RPM level easily. While the Ultra Kaze 3000 RPM does push more air at full speed it also creates significantly more noise.

I think you should check out Martin's fan testing, it does a much better job at testing fans (and presenting the data) then that bit-tech review. Because the bit-tech review compares top end RPM and CFM, it has a large bias towards higher speed fans.

Personally I would order some 2150 RPM GentleTyphoons from the link in my signature, they will be pretty quiet while still pushing a lot of air through your radiators.
