What is your personal choice? X4 or a X6?

If you had a choice or a chance, would you get the X4 or a X6?

If X4, why would you get this over a X6?

""even though it has 2 more cores and can overclock better than a X4""

My reason why I have a X6 is because it can overclock beautifully and I have 2 extra cores to work with if I ever wanted to do some video decodeing.... and waiting for more games to support 6 core processing lol

X6 because it has X2 more

I have picked an x4 though because it was half X6's price

As I was budget restrained, I got the 955. It's fine for being a cheaper option(as most games don't use six cores). Now, if you have more money, get the X6!

Crysis encoded for 6 cores? If not an X4 is fine and is usually faster in games

also I would rather have SB over an X6
4 Faster cores with HT compared to 6 slower cores

Have an X6, they OC like beast compared to X4's for one. Also seem to run cooler when locking down 2 cores and making them an X4. So it can be like an X4 with 2 extra cores when you need it. If money is a big difference though go X4. But dont pay 165-200 for an X4 965-970 or 975 when you can get an X6 1055T or 1090T for around the same price.

From what I have read Crysis 2 is optimised to take advantage of up to 8 cores.

But yes at stock games go harder on 4 faster cores.

But an X6 has 6 cores, Woulden't it just use the 4 core's out of the X6, than the other 2 cores would be used for what ever Windows is doing in the background

All the reason more to get the X6 if prices are similar. Your not gonna waste any cores.
