Only Driver vs. CCC

Thread Starter
I always used the Only Driver version of the AMD drivers. With this release (11.2) I tried the CCC version but nothing changed.
I don't overclock, I don't need manual fan adjustment, I don't do CrossFireX and I change the graphical options (AA, AF, Triple Buffering, Vsync, and so on) in the game itself.
So, am I OK with the Only Driver version? I don't like having extra programs that I don't use (CCC).
Thanks.

Yes, you are ok with just the driver only vs using CCC.

Sorry to bump this thread, but can I install the Catalyst Application Profiles if I'm using the "Only Driver" version?
Say the Catalyst Application Profiles come out in January, will those fixes be included in the "Only Driver" version of February?

You should be able to no problem. Though the CAPS don't come with the driver themselves, you have to go to AMDs website and download the latest CAP and then well install it!

Thanks.
What about the second question, are they included in the following Catalyst?

No. No CAP fixes are installed to any drivers. If a CAP comes out January, the fixes WON'T be installed in the February AMD Driver Package so you still have to install manually the CAPS from either AMD's website, or HERE.

I didn't think the CAP's did anything unless you're using Crossfire?

I thought they were hotfixes for specific games, that means they are for both single/multi card owners.
