I just sold off quite a few keyboards all that I have left is my unicomp spacesaver which is my favorite, a Dell AT101w, and a Sidewinder x6.

For mice I have a Deathadder black edition, a Deathadder 3g, an MX518, and a Sidewinder mouse.

I also have a dinovo mini.

I cant believe people are asking this, obviously the G500 is a better mouse than the way older MX518. Which btw the sensor position on the MX518 sucks.

The Xai is superior to both of them though, if you want a quality mouse get a Steelseries mouse.

The Avago 9500 found in the G500 produces a small 5% positive acceleration flaw on all hard surfaces and suffers from random neg/pos accel dependent on movement speed with cloth. The Avago 3080 found in the Mx518 offers flawless point to point tracking.

The new Mx518 uses a revision of the 3080 called the 3080(E) which has glitched drivers. Most people manually increase the polling rate of the USB port to get the most performance out of the mouse.

The Avago 9500 gives you the ability to enable and disable angle snapping/prediction while the Mx518 has it as an always on feature built into the sensor. I.E. Most mice have moderate prediction. Some consider playing without prediction better, but others play just fine with or without it.

The G500's shell/body is heavier and nose heavy without weights while the Mx518's is balance and feels quite normal for it's size. The Lift off distance between these two are a trade off though. The G500 is lower while the Mx518 feels slightly higher.

Feature/Button wise, the G500 has an extra side button which may or may not be beneficial to you. I personally find that I do better without having to worry about mouse macros. Oh, and there's a hyper scroll feature for forum browsing which seems kinda cool.

The G500 has the presence of being higher end, but in all honestly, one is neither better than the other as they both have their flaws.

G500. Awkward sensor placement raised toward the top of the mouse.

Mx518. Normal dead center sensor position.

According to you the Xai's sensor position "sucks".

I only have one mouse as I am cheap, and don't see the point in more than one.

It is pretty multi-purpose though, and it does the job very well, I love my Razer Abyssus
