I did the math a while ago and my computer was costing a few cents a day. Plenty of things in your house will be more expensive than that.
Yeap, no need for heat upstairs for me. My PC keeps my room over 75 f.

How much you spend per year folding 24/7. Heh.
So if the usage is the same as in their test "5:52 on-time", then, with a 480, I'm using a whole whopping **drum roll** 2.3 cents per day more per card than the toutedly energy-efficient 570.

That's less than $9/year.

I can live with that.

No, married and on my own for a year now. And I fold. Rank 808 for OCN, temporarily on hold until I get better hardware.

I'm too hard-headed and ignorant to view things in a different light. Also, the concept of change scares the living hell out of me. I prefer my simplier way of thinking.

well my gaming habits have changed lately. Im not gaming near as much as I used to.

I wonder how much money I would save if I went from my OC q6600 and 275sli to a 2500K and a single 570.....

maybe i can come up with a number and explain it to my wife LOL

"baby, I need a new computer cuz the old one takes up to much power and is costing us money!!"

I am not lying when I say that I actually would have been better buying two 460's for this rig instead of a GTX480.
My "take-away" LAN rig with Q9300 and GTX460 is actually enough.
