Now this is a story all about how my RAID got flipped-turned upside down

and i like to take a minute just sit right there...

from this awesomeness:

to this crappyness in a week:

what happened in between? i installed a few Steam games and some small apps. also, had to restore/repair windows a few (a bunch) times after BSODs due to failed overclocks.

i then decided to clean reinstall windows, but screwed up somehow and the EFI boot partition ended up outside the SSD RAID in a data HDD. (btw, bios boot override is still showing "Windows Boot Manager" twice, wont go away after clearing cmos and updating bios)

so i disconnected the HHD, deleted the raid, diskparted/cleaned/quick formatted/aligned and recreated the raid. reinstalled win7 again, updated everything, ran HDtune and then now i look at my failure i was finally there..inb4belair

next step, sanitary erasing and re doing all that again.

any ideas/advice are very welcomed.

someone told me the other day but noooo

Thats a very nice -1% cpu usage you have there. It'd be a shame if something happened to it.

update: fixed!

avg speed dropped a little, burst went up. that probably means nothing.

i did it this way:

boot from install DVD
get to command prompt
diskpart, select disk 0 (raid volume)
clean all (last time i did not use all, it writes over the whole thing)
reboot into bios intel raid controller, delete & recreate raid (i think this step i not needed but eh why not)
boot to install DVD
load latest RST drivers (not needed i think, you can update after installing windows, but again whyTF not)
then proceed with installation as usual
