Asus PA246Q worth it?

Thread Starter
$500 on Newegg, not a bad price for a brand new 24" IPS panel with the new arrival price premium. currently $50 more than Dell is listing their U2410 on their website (after a $150 instant savings I'm assuming is a temporary sale?)

On newegg: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16824236119

Can't find anything on it but pre-release info. I'm seriously tempted on pulling the trigger on this and another VH242H for the 3 monitor trifecta. Intend on using this primarily for graphic arts. Perhaps gaming as well if its up to the task, but if not I've got a pretty good gaming monitor already.

Two things holding me back:
=How does this compare to the 24" Dell ultrasharp 2410? On paper they look nearly identical in terms of specs. Asus/LG seem pretty adamant about the P-IPS superiority to S-IPS, but does anyone know how well it actually compares?
=Any word on a 27" big sister from Asus?

Thanks for finding this. I have the same need for color accuracy/precision. I currently have HP LP2465 and HP LP2475. I am also interested this Asus for a new build.

For reference I found the HP LP2475 to be slightly better than the Dell 2410. This was confirmed by a review that I had read (sorry, can't recall the source of the review). However, this Asus is $70 cheaper than the HP. So, I share the interest in feedback on the Asus performance.
