Yes those ferrite cores leave them on, either go around them or pop them open sleeve the wire and and put them back, from what i know they suppress noise or something like that from interfering with your pc components.

It will be REALLY tight and snug, if you push it into the PSU it will look like the wires are coming out of the PSU sleeved, unlike the ugly Corsair PSUs that don't get sleeved all the way to the end of both the PSU and the plugs.

When I get my new PSU I plan to sleeve it correctly, one thing that annoys me about Corsairs PSUs

I just thought i would let you guys know that there has been a thread on corsair's forum and you will void your warranty if you tamper with the 24 Pin and the CPU power cable's. But you are allowed to do what ever you want with the modular cables that came in the little pouch.

Sorry to sort of hijack the thread but whilst i'm here. What are the recommended tools to use to take the corsair modular plugs off the wire and where can i get them in the UK?
