Alienware M5500i-R3 (Newbie Build)

Thread Starter
Hi there, I was seriously considering about buying a M5500i-R3 from ebay and building it myself. The kit already includes, the full outer casing, motherboard and battery all for £65. Apart from the obvious such as memory, CPU, hard drive, heatsink, screen and optical drive what else do I require? This would be my first ever build. Would you recommend this for a newbie? Or is it far to complicated. Would I require to do any soldering?

And lastly can anyone give me the highest spec this laptop can get, I know it can take a maximum 4GB RAM, however I am unsure about hard drive, graphics card, processor etc.

Would this be able to play games at a low res?

So you were considering it? What made you not want to do it anymore?
Oh, probably because it would be a risk and worth more trouble than its worth.
And getting the rest of the parts would be a hassle and end up costing more than the laptop itself.

As far as specs, check this out - http://tinyurl.com/4wd4h99
