Flash... i don't really think so ... if my "guess" is true, the price on a 6990 will be lower than the GTX590 ... and ... i guess about 200USD! ( 600's for the 6990 and 800's for the 590 ) ...

For that price, well are the 200USD worth 10-15% performance improvement?

I don't think it will be 10-15$ performance increase - benchmarks (580 SLI vs 6970 XFIRE) have already shown that with how well crossfire scales it will be quite a bit less than that. Most real world test have shown only about an average of 5FPS lower and it some cases the AMD cards have performed better.

We shall see! I just wish the 590 had more VRAM for triple monitors.

Evtron, thanks... so, if you have 2 x 6970 under 700USD ... a single pcb with dual gpu will have less costs associated with it ( apart from R&D ) than a CF so ... my guess will be the 500-600's ... now... 2x580's will cost 1000USD at least ... so ... my guess is something like 800's ...

Again, this is just gossips & speculations ehehhe

look at that. sometimes its NVIDIA others its ATI so i really depends on the game i guess over all i would rather have the NVIDIA solution.
