Album/Song Info grabber

Thread Starter
Hey guys. I am looking at making a few changes to my music library, One of them being grabbing all correct and up to date Album/Artist info.

Is there a decent application out there I can use to do this for me ?

I know I could use Windows Media Player but IMO it does not do a very good job and Itunes is not an option.

Thanks:)

Winamp will do it through gracenote. Just right click and go to view file info and there's an auto-tag option. You can also get the album art by right clicking the area for it next to the paying info.

Will that actually update the files in my music library or only the library settings on Winamp so to speak ?
I posted a pretty helpful guide about this a while back... I will go look up the thread for you. smile.gif

EDIT: Here you go.

http://www.overclock.net/music/374591-how-tidy-up-your-song-library.html#post4411168

That should help you accomplish what you need and more, although it isn't fully automatic It does save everything to the meta data of each song so any changes made will reflect no matter where the song is being played whether it is Winamp, WMP, or even a portable player like an iPod or Zune.

Jriver media player is a great tool for what you're asking. You can change multiple files at the same time.
