but I cant stay any more with my crappy igp!!!

What? 180w on the +12v.... are you sure?

Are you trying to be funny?

This power supply failed to deliver 460 W. The funny thing was that respecting the maximum combined power for the two +12 V rails as printed on the unit’s label (test five) the power supply wouldn’t turn on, as its over power protection entered in action, but pulling 460 W not respecting this information (test six) it turned on, but ripple was through the roof (220 mV). We tested to see the maximum power this unit could deliver and the results are in the next page.

Just because it powers on doesn't mean they are good, most cm power supplies aren't very good, hitting near to spec on the ripple, or being flat out over rated, or both. Even your psu can't do it's rated wattage.

The cx400 is a nice power supply.

edit: what the cooler master 500w does: At 100v we see the 12v rails rise over the 120v results to 138mV. This carries over to the minor rails which move up to 82mV for the 5v rail and 77mV for the 3.3v rail.
I have three choices-
1>corsair cx400
2>corsair cx430
3>cooler master extreme500
and my gpu will be-
MSI HD5770 HAWK

Different design and oem, and i think it's a bit cheaper on the inside. It's 12v rating is almost more inline with a 400w power supply.

No, I don't like it when people make assumptions without actually owning the product. Yes I know it can't give out 460 watts, I got it because it had all the protections for a decent price for what I needed.

It's really a 380w if you go by +12v capacity.
