Razer Lycosa: nothing but regret - Page 5

Thread Starter
I've never had a logitech product fail on me, ever, and I've had well over probably 20 of there products.

I take that back..I snapped a cheap pair of logitech headsets once from use haha

oh and the coating is NOT the same as the mice, would be better. its thicker, and much softer/more easily damaged/peels

my keys look half way like that video after only about 4 months.

The short answer is, stop buying razer products they use cheap parts and produce very cheap products, but can sell at a premium because of their marketing.

I have a das with brown switches and I can't ever see myself going back, totally worth the investment.

I personally thought that the lycosa had a sweet design which is why I bought it a long time ago.
Lycosa's are ******* awesome... until they break. I had 3 of them before I moved onto my Xarmor u9bl, which was also a great keyboard but I don't recommend it if you are griping about the rubber coating (which is the exact same as the lycosa's). I recently got a free Filco Majestouch Tenkeyless, and I like it a lot better.

TBH a lot of the keyboard elitests on here won't ever touch a razer, and there is a good reason. They use cheap parts on the PCB, which after a while leads to broken keys/PCBs. But on the other hand, a lot of idiots on here do something dumb with their keyboards and blame it on razer (for example spilling soda or whatnot).

Friend spilt coke on it. Said it didn't work so I asked if I could have it. He said yeah so I took it home, took it apart, washed it with distilled water after taking off all the keys, actuated the switches, and then gave it a bath of 91% isopropyl, dried it under a fan, and put it all back together. Some keys were still typing 3-4x for 1 push so I mashed on the keyboard like ******* mozart till it fixed itself and now I have a pretty much brand new Filco Majestouch Tenkeyless with Cherry MX Blues for free :3

Every single Razer product I have owned have malfunctioned and/or weird issues with the first year.

Copperhead - Scroll stopped working. Its feet also came off and its finish was rubbing off.
Deathadder - USB cable was loose to the mouse and would randomly turn off if I pulled on the cord slightly. After a year the mouse died completely. Its finish also started to rub off and feet came off as well.
Naga - Any time I would pick up the mouse, the cursor would move down....
Razer Barracuda head phones - Average sound, microphone stopped working after the first month, LED's would randomly go off and on, and left speaker died after four months.

After my Naga and Barracuda died I picked up a Logitech G9X and Audio Technica ATH-AD700 headphones. Best discussion and purchase ever.

If your looking for a nice Mechanical keyboard Deck Legends are fantastic. I purchased my Deck Legend Ice a couple of months ago and I love the thing. It is kinda expensive but its worth it imo. Thing is built like a tank!

That's the one with the diamond plate backing or something right?

****'s nuts bro :3

I went through "WASD" keys on the 3-4 lycosas I had within months. :/ My DeathAdder is still alive, but I switched to a XAI and then to a IntelliMouse Explorer 3.0
