Need UPS Advice... - Page 2

By looking at the model you currently have I would probably replace it myself, specially with the rig's you want to run off of it. Also, if you hold down the power button in the center it will do a self test. If it's your battery anything that's plugged into your UPS will turn off, and the battery light will come on. If it does something else, then it's probably the unit itself having issues.

You are probably due for an upgrade to your UPS about now from the info you posted.

You might consider checking on the www.apcc.com site and looking at trading in your old UPS for a newer model from them. That is what I do every few years.
I usually replace the battery once in a UPS and then the next time I do an upgrade to a bigger UPS.
I have an APC Backups RS 1500 that I am going to upgrade this year. It runs my sig system 24/7 with no problem and can keep it on for up to an hour during power out.

I am a fan of APC due to their great insurance backup on their products. Had to use it once and got no trouble with them replacing some equipment from a lighting strike. I have several of their UPS's for various equipment I run.

It is cheap insurance on very expensive toys !!
