5850 Keeps going out of overclock profile in Afterburner

Thread Starter
I apply the overclocked settings profile before I go into a game. When I am in the game the setting automatically goes back to default clocks for some reason. I don't know why. It just won't stay on the overclocked settings, they are stable as well.

That's happened to me before too, I don't know a definite answer for you but you could try updating to the latest version of MSI AB. IF that doesn't work Sapphire Trixx works just as good too.

Make sure the MSI on screen display server is running. If that doesn't work, reinstall the software.

How do you know its stable? Also i would try reinstalling afterburner or a newer version and also reinstall the drivers.

It was stable for about a year. I haven't played games in months so there was no use in me even going to the OC settings. So months later (now) when I try to do what I have previously done fine, it doesn't work right. I updated to the latest AB and it's still the same.
