I would get a tablet but wait until Nvidia's Tegra 2 comes into an acceptable price range.

The Kindle is not a tablet or a net-book, its an e-reader. If you want to browse the web it simply is not an option but it is great for reading books.

Check out my unboxing though if your still interested, 3g is kinda pointless because I have wireless shut off anyways to save battery.
http://www.overclock.net/mobile-phon...-unboxing.html

I use something similar to this for emails and such, which is a netbook. I see tablets as an entirely different device though, one that should accompany a net-book. But I won't be buying one till prices drop significantly.

It's good. Only problem is that it doesn't play FLAC or Vorbis. Stuff like that, but their retina led screen is amazing. You can't see a pixel.

I would look for a convertible tablet PC combo. I saw a good one from gigabyte that hat the fold over touch screen and a dock.

Like everyone has said, the Kindle is not for anything but reading. If you want something cheap for reading it is GREAT, I LOVE my Kindle - but dont think it should anything else.

If all you want is a reader then look no further.

Just don't drink the Apple Koolaid lol.
