I got a raid 0 configured on my p6t deluxe v2 and want to upgrade to an asus sabertooth this summer... So will I have to reformat or can I still configure my RAID 0 and keep my data?

Unless your onboard RAID is using exactly the same chipset, you'll have to find some way to back up your data and then rebuild the array from scratch.

I transferred my RAID array from an X38 mobo to a P55 with no issues whatsoever.

Just backup any important files beforehand just in case!

You should be. I just upgraded my cpu and changed from a Foxconn Cinema Premium 785g to an Asrock 770 and it worked just fine. All you have to do is let Windows do a butt-load of driver updates when you first boot up.

*sometimes* it can be done. going from intel to nvidia doesnt work as i recently discovered. tho same chipsets i imaging youd be fine

If not..
There is a program called 'raid reconstructor' that will allow you to create an image or direct clone your old raid array should it not function will work on any board with enough sata ports to support them

Did this with my array. created on an old Athlon 64x2 board. which i foolishly sold before creating a backup. Managed to get all my data back on my new Core 2 quad board that i picked up cheap

you just select the drives and it will detect the order and the stripe size automatically, perhaps a little irrelavant for you but its handy if you no longer have a board that supports your raid

it does not recreate the raid. but it does create a backup

Good luck!
