Black Widow vs G510 vs others.

Hi.
I might have a possibility to buy a new keyboard, so I'm thinking about Black Widow and G510. These two's got the best reviews, especially Black Widow. And price is the same, if not the Ultimate edition of BW.

So... Which do you think would be better and why? Which feels better? I can't go to a shop and test them, no such keyboards in shops around here.
Also, is Black Widow's keys... clicky? Loud I mean?

Thanks.

I don't know about the G510, but the BlackWidow feels amazing, as it is a mechanical keyboard. Huge upgrade over any standard keyboard. The keys are clicky and maybe loud, indeed..but..they feel good, almost addictive.

At the moment I have this: http://www.logitech.com/en-us/434/186?WT.z_sp=Image.
It's quite clicky... Would the Razer one be louder than the standart multimedia keyboard like this?
Also, is there any difference between Black Widow and Ultimate except useless connectors and useful backlighting? Like different keys or something?

And let's not forget the g510. smile.gif

That's not clicky.

First you have to decide if you want a mechanical keyboard, or a rubber dome, or a scissor switch. Then once you know what category you want, we can help you pick a keyboard.

I heard that mechanical keyboards are the best.
I'm using an old and clicky keyboard from the link I gave, which is rubber dome. It didn't used to be such loud, but it is now, after about 2-3 years of usage. And yes, tried cleaning it.
I don't like scissor switch keyboards, probably because I've never had a laptop newer than a 386 and working without the need to be plugged in.

Conclusion: I want a mechanical or a rubber dome keyboard. From the stereotype I made reading online... stuff (reviews, information, etc.) - I want a mechanical keyboard.

Pros I want: quality, comfort (including nice to touch keys), macro (or multimedia) keys. (for example - mp3 player, sound control)
Cons I don't want: louder than my keyboard.
Things I do not care about: Connectors in the keyboard.
Things I consider as an upside, but not neccesary: backlighting. (since I'm missing the keys sometimes and it's dark under the table)

I have never used a black widow, but a friend of mine just gave me a new G510. I'm in love with it! From what I can see, it has these advantages over the BW:

Media keys, volume scroll wheel, "game mode" (switches off the Windows button), more macro keys, LCD screen

Both can record macros on the fly. The G510 is not clicky, in fact the softness of the key action will probably turn a lot of people off. I like it, personally, but there is not as much tactile response as some other keyboards. Some of the apps are fun but really useless; there is no sense reading an RSS feed or email on a screen that small. But the clock/date applet is nice, as is the Afterburner applet (i love having my GPU performance on the screen) and if you don't use afterburner there are definitely caomparable applets for EVGA Precision and other rivatuner front ends.

The built-in soundcard is nice too, plug your analog headset in and the G510 acts as a USB soundcard, excellent for those who can't separate their soundcard ins and outs into independent audio devices for use with ventrilo and teamspeak.

It's not hard to use the search function.

I investigated the 2 keyboards a little be more, and found these pros and cons:

Black Widow:
Pros: Mechanical keys, Supposedly good to touch keys.
Cons: No media keys (always thought it had some!), no backlighting (not a biggie), loud keys (or not?).

G510:
Pros: Silent keys (or not?), good backlighting color palette (not a neccesity), LCD (not sure if I can use it for something useful yet. And my keyboad is under my table most of the time, so I wouldn't see this thing anyway.), Has media keys.
Cons: Media keys are on the wrong side for my needs, WIDE (many useless keys for my needs on the left), non-mechanical keys.

So... They both have pros and cons. Widow seems to be better than 7G. G510 better than G19. I don't know any other good, wort the price and fitting my needs and quality keyboards on the market at the moment.
