But these 560's have a limiter on them now so that can't happen anymore. The card won't be stressed in Furmark now as much as it has stressed other cards in the past due to that, so you may be better off just playing a game to stress test it because that will probably put more load on your card.

Just to be clear, just about every single 570 that has "burned up" had the power limiter disabled (the same type that you mentioned in reference to the 560) and an unlocked bios that allowed users to set the vcore in excess of 1.1v.....this overvoltage with no power limiter combined with synethic stress testing like furmark or occt smoked the vrm's.

OP, seems like you should be golden with that OC, as you said MSI has a good warranty which you are not in violation of. Enjoy that beast! I have an msi 570 and am managing 925mhz @ 1.1. Pretty much overkill for anything I do, but that's not why we do it right? yessir.gif

HA great post, definate rep heading your way from my direction. . .
I am so excited to see how this OC performs in Crysis 2 mainly! The reason i wanted to do it actually was because i've noticed in benchies the only way for the 560ti to match up to that beastly 570 is to hit 1k core & however many shaders come along with it (got my core/shader linked together in afterburner )

However although it is, indeed, complete OVERKILL for anything i currently play...

Overclocking is like giving someone a cheap, yet meaningful gift. . . it's the "thought" that counts!

Same here. Other then Crysis 2 my HD 6950 FU is overkill. All i play is NFS HP, SC2, COD MW, AION. Crysis 2 will probably make me get another HD 6950 lol.

Ell
Oh
Ell!

Let's hope not... but then again... running 50+fps all the time eventually makes gaming seem rather weak so it's nice to see your system PUSHED. Then when you finally lift the frames it feels like a body builder that lifts 1,000 lbs. for his first time .
