Harddrive paritions on windows 7 reinstall!! Help fast

Hey guys I just bought a new 2tb HDD for data that I had installed but now I am trying to reinstall windows 7 and partition my 750gb HDD for windows 7 OS and programs. Thinking about using 40GB for the windows partition.

what should I do about the 100mb that windows 7 automatically partitions? I know there is a way to get rid of this but I can't figure it out does it even matter?
Also should I load windows with the recommended settings or just the security settings and stuff it needs

can I also not tell it do be in ACHI mode?

100 MB partition has boot files and can't be removed. If you want to separate your programs, you'll need three partitions.

IDE you should be able to run fine with no problems. When I switched to AHCI, I had to load some drivers from the mobo CD before Windows would install.

there is a trick to get rid of it but I will just leave it thanks! I wanted to have them be ahci for the future when I get an ssd (soon).

Also should I use recommended settings or the second option?

Once I do this I will have
partition one boot files
partition 2 40gb windows 7
Partition 3 programs
2 tb data drive

If I have to reinstall windows ever again I can just do is on the partition 2 right and nothing else will be affected?

Alright well I have everything up and running now I set windows 7 partition to 40gb but program files and the pictures and videos etc are on that.
Should program files not be on the bigger partition? Also do you guys just not use the libraries??

what do you guys do? I just installed google chrome now I am down to 19gb free on my windows partition.
