Windows 7 help question

Thread Starter
Just did a reinstall of windows on my computer and set up partitions. 40gb for windows 7 the rest (659gb for programs). I also have a 2tb drive for data. I set windows 7 partition to 40gb but program files and the pictures and video libraries etc are on that.
Should program files not be on the bigger partition? Also do you guys just not use the libraries??

what do you guys do? I just installed google chrome now I am down to 19gb free on my windows partition.

Similiar to you, I use a 1TB drive with a 60GB C: partition for Win 7 and just some basic programs. I also have a large D: partition on the same drive for things like larger programs, page file, plus Document, Music, Picture, etc... folders that I created.

Then I went back to the C: partition Windows 7's Library, Documents, Music, and Pictures folders, and opened properties box for each one, selected "Include a Folder" and added the matching D: partition folders that I created, to the list.

The last step was to select "Set Save Location" to the D: folders, so I am now using the D: Document folders, and the Windows C: Library's are mostly unused.

I have a second matching 1TB internal HDD I use for backup of the first one, though it has room for a lot more stuff if I ever need it.

Hope this makes sense.
