I have got a little question regarding my new phobya balancer 250 resevoir.

It 4 has out/inlets on the lower section and one inlet at the top.

Most people use the upper inlet as a fillport but I want to use it as inlet for my loop so I can have a kind of waterfall effect.

The only problem with that is ...how would I fill the loop?
I plan on using the bottom one as outlet for the pump to suck from.
So ..how would I fill the loop up with the upper inlet occupied with hose?
Could I just fill up...turn pump on until the res is empty and just hold the upper section over the res and not fully close it?But what if the loop is filled at some point I won´t be able to do that anymore.

I hope you have some ideas or experience

you'll get bubbles in ur loop, I don't recommend it.

If I bleed it properly why would I get bubbles? water level would be to the half.
Why would there be air in the loop?

because the water falling into the water will also trap air.
Even if you bleed it, the pump will always suck in bubbly air from the res.

The pump will only literally fall down if there is really low flowrate or headpressure...I have an MCP 655 ...there will be so much endurance that the water will run down the sides instead of "falling"

did anyone notice that in that video on the installed 250mm there is coolant in the threads of the acrlic???

I have that with my EK 250 as well. Totally normal as the o-ring is below the threading.

I don't recommend waterfall effect, I have ek bay spin res, it's supposed to have waterfall effect, that's the concept of this res but after trying to run it as waterfall setup, it's just terrible, so much for bleeding the loop, all the bubbles get sucked in again and again and water fall effect creates more and more. So in the end, I filled up the res to the top so there's no waterfall effect

When done right the pump should not be able to suck any water bubbles in.

The res should at least be half filled...the pump outlet should be at the bottom...and the flow rate of the pump should be so high that the water doesn´t lierally fall down and create bubbles in the first place as instead so it can run down the sides.
And even if it did if the res is half full there is no way the bubbles don´t disolve and get sucked in.
