Probably a driver or OC error. What are you using? I get 1.02GHz on mine with the newest bios and EVGA precision+E-leet for volts.

Nibi or just install the newest drivers. Try that and report back, but I am going to sleep right now.

It is NOT a driver issue. It is made to do that. It's essentially a power saving feature. My opinion? Leave it. It won't do you any harm. And seeing as you have a Hawk, I'd recommend overclocking it to 800MHz at least. If you're feeling good, go for the 900MHz OC.

It'll make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

Sorry, didn't know it had that feature, never had it do that for me. I can run 1.02GHz stable on my GTX460 EE stock and I folded a whole fold with it stable. It's great!

No worries. What kind of temps are you getting on it? I'd love to push mine above 1GHz, but I'm kind of undecided about it.

There's not much you can do about it. There's not much point turning it off though. It's a normal thing. It clocks down when you're not running graphically intensive programs so that it consumes less power. For comparison, my Hawk clocks down to 51MHz when it's not in use.

Trust me on this one, just leave it. It'll be fine.
