At least it's coming to PC. It'll give me something to do for 6 hours.

Honestly for $60 it's a ripoff. Better if it was $39.99 so that it can go down half price in a few months, which I can then buy for 50% off on a steam sale. Let's face it, this isn't going to be a big title. I can understand COD at $60 since Activision is greedy and fanboys will buy it at that price, but this game? No thanks.

I wholeheartedly agree. Normally I give developers a little leeway when it comes to user created content support, but this is one of the few exceptions when I give them NONE. I may be alone here, but when I heard who was behind this game I fully expected Bulletstorm to be modder friendly on the PC. The more I hear and read about this game (Cliffy's twitter comment on the demo, anyone?), the more I'm reminded that the awesome developers responsible for getting me into gaming are gone. It's all about shutting out the end user so they can charge $15 for a map pack, making sure nobody can create better maps, release them for free and hurt DLC sales.

I wasn't planning to buy this game, but if it had a map editor I would seriosly consider.

EPIC gave up on the PC community long ago. they should just stop pretending and stop making pc games
post #28 of 31
It's funny how everyone is not only completely over reacting and raging so badly when they don't even realize what the game is or how it's played.

Example

It's not a 6 hour game. Maybe 6 hours for one play through, but Bulletstorm is the exact kind of game made to be replayed multiple if not dozens of times over. It's like Vanquish. It's an arcade shooter.

You don't play for completion - you play for score. If you're not going to play Bulletstorm to achieve scores and if you simply going to play through it once and call it a day - then the only "ripoff" here is you. You're more or less doing it wrong.

The game's purpose, not even like it's an additional game mode, is to replay the levels and kill all the enemies in different over-the-top ways. If you do it just once, you're not playing it right. It's like the people who decided to speed run through Dead Space 2 and then complain how it was "too short". Get over yourselves please lol

So then the pc community can then cry about them not making games anymore?
It's like you guys don't even let developers have a damn chance anymore.
If they do one thing (ex not make games for PC), you cry.
If they do another but you don't have every single thing you want (ie mods), you cry.

You're all so uptight about all this garbage, you can't even appreciate the fact you have the ability to play the game anymore. It's beyond sad. I remember when I first came to this forum - none of this nonsense existed or at least in a lightened form.

Bulletstorm looks to be one of the very few FPS games that is trying to be different. That alone deserves some recognition because everyone is tired of all the CoD and BF style saturated FPS games now. In fact, people cry about that alot too and I bet those very same people are crying about Bulletstorm on the PC. It's hypocrisy at best.

Slightly OT, but do the screenshots of this game kind of remind anyone of UT3? It looks really fun
It is pretty fun - I played the demo. It's not exactly my type of game but still fun none the less.
