First thing will never happen.
Second thing I doubt will happen far past launch, it'll end up they go with no AA but far more polygons on screen.
That'll only happen on a Sony console, I bet...Microshaft will never want anything that impedes their profit margin, especially if they're winning the next console war.
Free mods? Console games only get mods if you burn the game, you mean DLC and...That'll only happen if Steam is on the new consoles and even then, we can only be sure for Valve games.
Demos should be free already?

I can say with a fair bit of experience, a computer running say, Fallout 3, at native 1080p with AA, etc and at 60fps looks far better than the Xbox or PS3 doing so at 720p with nearly no AA and 30fps on the same 55" screen.
