Driver issue somewhere. Update your sound drivers and see if that solves the issue. I wish I could see the full code - do you remember what the error description was? I.e.:

"IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL"

or

"PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA"

I am sorry my memory is very bad, but after the code 0x000000c4 there were a bunch of other codes in brackets if that helps? they were 0x00000091,0x00000002,0x00000000

This may be a nub question:confused: but what are my sound driver's? I really am not sure!(I don't remember downloading any)

Also is there a way to find what the error description was like a log or something?

Thanks, Sir Overkill. smile.gif

Check the CD that came with your MB for sound card drivers or go to device manger find the sound card and update the drivers.

I'll be honest with you. This could be a total fluke. Use this site for reference next time you BSOD and report back your findings. This will tell you what to look for, where to find the error message, and with that information, we could help with the situation with ease.

Last time i got that error it was my Ram ram was OC'd to 800 (to high) and the time before that it was Death of my Chpistet so you might have to Clock it down notch cause you might be degrating you're chip
How long have you being running at that Freq.?

This may sound stupid but I don't see how that site will help, it dosen't say its for Win 7 either.

But thank you,+1

Does anybody know what this code is? somehow I think its more related to my OC rather then sound drivers?

Thanks, Sir Overkill.

Actully my ram is at 800, I am not sure what it runs at stock but it may of OC'ed it a while ago and not remember. Was it the death of your CPU or your chipset? surely my chipset on the UD-9 could handle it.

I have been at 4.2Ghz for a couple months maby 3.

Thanks, Sir Overlkill. smile.gif

Hope this helps.

"The DRIVER_VERIFIER_DETECTED_VIOLATION bug check has a value of 0x000000C4. This is the general bug check code for fatal errors found by Driver Verifier."

"This bug check can only occur when Driver Verifier has been instructed to monitor one or more drivers. If you did not intend to use Driver Verifier, you should deactivate it. You might consider removing the driver which caused this problem as well."
