Airflow Question

Thread Starter
I've got a HAF 932 Black Edition that I'm looking to setup with a robust yet quiet airflow system.

Here are my thoughts:

The green fan is undecided and will likely take some experimenting. All of the fans will be manually controlled and their speed will be decided through many trials.

The fan near the GPUs is for the GPU shroud that came with the case. This will allow me to single out the intake for the GPUs only and control it separately.

I come here asking for advice because I want to put GTyphoons in, but buying seven of them (+ the one 200mm) is not cheap.

Have I made any huge mistakes that could potentially ruin a good airflow system? I plan on using the Noctua C-14 cooler that blows onto the motherboard, so I did not include it here.

Is that bottom mounted intake going to do anything? Could I potentially lose it and the green fan with minimal cooling backlash?

It looks like a pretty decent neutral airflow system. Though, I've seen some people getting better temps at the CPU with the top fans as intake (the sense behind this is that, instead of pushing out the hot air that ''rises'', you push it away from the cpu heatsink, but this didn't work for me so I dunno..) As for the bottom and the green fan the more the better but you won't notice any remarkable differences.

I thought about making the top the primary intakes, but I worry about dust.
I must admit that I'm not the most diligent caretaker when it comes to dust and as I have yet to find a good filter solution, I'd rather have the dust concentrated on the front of the case where at least the tighter mesh will act as an ok filter that is easier to clean.

Having any dust enter my case right on top of the motherboard will make it hell to clean. >.<

I would remove the top-middle fan, it may pull cool air up & out of the case before it can pass through your CPU cooler. And do not put the green fan in, you want cooler air to enter the front of your case and pass over the MB and through your CPU cooler and exit at the rear (top or back), the green fan would just rob the case of lots of cooler air.

Experimentation is your best guide for temps.Dust is and will be an enemy on aircooling, can't help it. I took away my bottom fan because of it. Just make sure you don't have negative pressure in your case cause this will make dust going in through the cracks of the case.

don't put the green fan in and i think the bottom intake isn't really neccessary either.
remove the top right fan like someone before said, it will steal the air from the cpu cooler fan

My HAF is setup exactly like that (minus the one with that green arrow) and it works really well. The bottom intake really helps with the temp but make sure you have some kind of filter there unless you don't have dust where you live.

+1 for the green fan, it makes sense. I guess they have 3 fan holes for radiator use. But the middle-top fan won't be a problem as the heatsink has fans itself to pull air through it.

i find if i push more air out of my pc i get better temps because it lowers the pressure inside the case making it nice and chilly
