CMEs happen all the time, even in solar minimum which is what we lived in for the past 7ish years. This isn't a record breaking flare that will knock out power lines. It's also not an EMP bomb. If we didn't have a magnetic field then yes, your electronics might be in jeopardy but we don't live in that world. If you live in Alaska/Norway/Greenland you're already used to these events.
