Gift Card, CM Storm Scout, and Pay Day

Thread Starter
I have all of the previous things, and now I'm looking to upgrade my CF 5770's to a single GPU. The Scout is the main hindrance in this equation. It seems the 6950-6970's are to big at 11.3+, the scout can only handle a 10.6 GPU so is the best (and only) bet a GTX 570?

Also anyone who has the Scout with feedback would be very appreciated.

the 6950/70 are 10.75in
the 570 is 10.50

The Max length a scout can handle is 10.6

Unless he mods his case 6950/70s wont fit. He can fit a single 570 but its going to be a very tight fit

580s are the same size as 570s, they are both 10.5 inches

Unless your case is modded, I don't see a problem with purchasing a HAF 912 or something similar for $60/70.

At the point where you're considering GPUs that are several hundred dollars, I would just sell the case on here (or craigslist or to a friend, etc) and pick up a suitable chassis. It'll give you a lot more choice, and a lot less hassle.

Not a terrible idea...would prefer to pop out the two GPU's now and sell them. I'll consider both options. This would probably be the last upgrade (besides a second ssd) to this rig for a couple years.

Really like this card...anyone else have it and use the storm scout?
Card Dimension(mm): 268*115*37mm = 10.55 inches so it should just fit...

Honestly if your really stuck on Nvidia I would grab a 6950 & unlock the Shaders. This is what I would do to be honest

COOLER MASTER HAF 912
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811119233

SAPPHIRE 100312SR Radeon HD 6950 2GB
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814102914

Grand Total: $339.97

or

HIS H695F2G2M Radeon HD 6950 2GB
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814161355

COOLER MASTER HAF 912
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811119233

Grand Total: $334.99

Unless your Deeply in love with your Scout I would sell it. New Case + GPU for the same price as the 570. Like I said the MAX a Scout can hold up to 10.6 so it will Fit but will be very Tight

The Haf 912 can support a card up to a 5970 which is big
