Cooler master sickleflow 120mm Question.

Thread Starter
I just purchased the sickle flow 2000rpm fan to add to my case for some increased air flow. But when i hook it up to my fan controller it maxes out at 1700rpm.I was just curious as to why it does not do the rated 2000rpm that they state.

I am using a Scythe kaze master fan controller controlling 3 k62 stock 140mm fans and the Cooler master fan .What could be the issue here?

I have yet to hook them directly to the psu to see if that makes a diff. But i did plug a 140mm high speed yate loon up and it ran at the rated 2000rpm .So it was odd to me as to why the 120mm Cooler master would not run that rpm .

Most fans are rated at 10% + or - of RPM rating. Most fan controllers will have a volt drop of about 10%. Between the two is your likely loss.

I have a kaze master pro and my 6 blue R4's only go to 1800 rpm.
Probably the 3.7v-12v +/- 10%,and not getting the full 12v to the fan.

Ok i was just a little worried. As i planned to use it on my h50 to help cooling as it had a higher Rpm and flow rate than the stock corsair fans. But hopefully even at 1700-1800 it should be a improvement over the stock one.

But i just found it odd that it would run the yate loons at 2000 and not the R4
