[PCGamer]Bungie's next game will be "WoW in space" - Page 2

I don't get all the WoW hate, its a solid game..

Yes, I hate it though, but not because of the game itself.. Because of MYSELF. After playing since release I just got overly bored with the engine, mechanics, and zones... Every expansion is just reskins.

I'd definitely buy into a Halo MMO assuming it was stable and bug-free because I don't mind WOW itself, I mind its art direction / staleness, etc.

And I don't care what ANYONE says. I'm sick as you know what of elves, orcs, wizards and castles.

I would definately buy titan or this new bungie one. I love wow, SC2, and halo, so this should be good.

When will someone make a real-world MMOG? No magic, no space, just stuff that can really be done in real life. Even if it was set back in time so that fighting wouldn't have guns, it'd be fun.

Here's my idea of the perfect 3rd-person MMOG:
- Start in the stone ages, with simple tools, simple resources, and simple requirements. Map would be of middle-eastern nature.
- Begin to be able to harvest metals, etc. Map expands to real-world locations, and people realize the map is actually a map of the real world, built to scale (but of course, the whole thing isn't mapped by the Dev's yet).
- As the years pass, and the devs continue working on the game, continue updating cities and explorable areas similar to the way they were explored in real-life history.
- Also continue updating technologies and resources as it happened IRL.

It'd be epic. The pace would be slow for development, since the real world is so huge, but it would be doable. I'd imagine it'd only take 25 years or so to finally reach the modern age with a fully mapped, to-scale virtual version of the earth. The earth could then be sold to other game development companies, who could build virtual racing games based off the model (race on any road in the world), etc. The possibilities for gameplay and missions would be endless, and could be based off of current news events, etc.

That's what I want to see. And that's an MMO I would actually pay a monthly fee to be a part of.

I'll pass....I'd like an MMO that doesn't take 8 years to progression in story. Sounds like a SIMS mmo mixed with civilzation going at the pace of a snail.

If it's WoW in space. Then Blizzard will have a answer for that with SC.
