Wish I could remember where it was, but earlier today I read somewhere that AMD stated they're launching/revealing, during some convention in June and it was linked to some recent post by an AMD Mod on one of AMD's forums...but I can't find either at the moment...
Ah! Here it is, it was in a thread right here on OCN!

You aren't using a cluster, therefore this is inapplicable to you.

I know there are no actual benchmarks out yet but does anyone know approximately when there will be? I seriously dont want to wait till june since i have been waiting for bulldozer for like a year now. And if they dont offer a significant improvement over the more recent i7, then theres no reason to wait.

MSI's 990FX is going to look just like the Crosshair IV Formula a.k.a. the style that you really hate...
As for ASUS, we really don't know, but it'll probably look similar to P67 or so.
And how do you know by that?

MSI has already revealed their board, which is not really a 990FX board but is being advertised as one.

Its actually an 890FX; with a Socket AM3+ to support BD chips; and yes it looks EXACTLY like the ChIV Formula except in a black/blue color scheme instead of black/red...

Just google "MSI Big Bang Conqueror"

Eh, thanks for refreshing my memory. Yeah, their PCB was black too right? They put in hi-c caps, instead of ferrite core chokes? I really don't know if its going to affect dramatically on the overclocking. MSI really needs to step their game up, especially on the overclocking of Thubans chip fiasco. Too many MSI boards have been blown up because of that.

I'm not using PCI-E 2.0, but it IS applicable to anyone using it. PCI-E 3.0 is faster, more efficient and is around the corner, why would anyone want to upgrade to the same old tech they're using now?

And I just saw that 990FX (I think) picture. What the hell are AMD thinking? Triple channel? I guess they're probably gonna have another multi-socket BS release (like the 754s and 939s).

adding some new light to this thread.. if i can get a decent review on the bulldozer estup, im getting it the second its released... doing a major upgrade and i DO hope its a red and black theme, because if its not. im actually jsut going with the crosshair IV, because it look samazing, and its been out for a while.. so there isnt a huge risk in it failing or giving me problems. i cant afford to have my computer down that much because i work from home AND have a regular job. but my network is my money so doing an upgrade is risky when products are this new
