We already see bottlenecking in some of these games with the i3 with a single 6850. Granted your averages are still likely plenty high but you are going to be getting lower lows compared to say an i5 or i7 in cpu intensive games that utilize more than 2 cores.
The card was running at the same shaders/clocks as a 6970
, just an fyi
It was only bottlenecked in GTA IV and Lost Planet 2, which are horrible ports, and Dawn of War 2, which is an RTS and they generally prefer a good cpu. Although the FPS were above 60 so it was playable and it doesn't really matter too much. On the whole, the i3 isn't bad for gaming on any single card but for dual GPUs it would be better to go with a quad just to eliminate any potential bottlenecks.
