Well if yours is running at 4.6Ghz or something then It may still get by fine but not many i3's can do that but it would be a bottleneck anyway, but how much it would vary game to game.

Don't have them anymore I'm afraid. The i3 would be faster in some I reckon because of the higher stock speed, but I doubt it would be all that much faster, and it would probably be somewhat slower in games like GTA 4.

That's so weird , some games like GTA 4 is a CPU hog , while there is others that needs a little cpu power so the i3 is fine !

Want to game ! buy a GPU ..

The I3 should have been tested around 4.4-4.6Ghz. They easily get that high on air cooling but awesome review none the less

This was a shock to the system.. Sure to take a dump in the headstrong i7 owners cups? I'm on the i5 middle area though so this is yet another reason to justify why I didn't grab an i7. The main reason was.. I was a bit prejudiced and thought "Quad > Dual EVERY time.".. and that I assumed the i3 would bottleneck my SLi but I'm suited. Great review though!
