60 dollars.... *cries*

I can't buy this game on principle. I will have to wait for a steam sale to play the multiplayer I guess....

Sometimes it's even worse, Bad Company 2 is still 40€ here ($54), only 10€ less than at launch. When I buy a newly released game I usually import it from play.com, it's a lot cheaper for me but I've got my packages intercepted by customs quite a few times and had to pay a fee.
Well, I'm no lawyer, but I don't think that the retail store price would be at all relevant to any EC intervention. To me at least the situation with Steam sounds exactly the same as with itunes - Apple were forced to charge the same price to all EU states for downloads.

You have my sympathies with the customs fees, I remember getting stung when buying a launch Gamecube from Lik-Sang. Expensive times!

Oh, and from your list, I also bought Dead Space on the Christmas Sale. Horrible control system; I played it for half an hour and of those 30 minutes, I spent 10 trying to get the mouse to work properly. If I let it as it was, I couldn't configure the game as it just flew. If I slowed it down to normal levels, the movement in-game would be too slow. And then you have to factor in that it's a third person shooter, but it's not like GTA IV; it's much worse and cumbersome in the way you move your character around, frustratingly really.

It may actually be a good game, but you simply can't control it effectively.

As to Crysis 2... hummm, I'll wait for the Demo to decide whether I pre-purchase it or not.
never know. Fallout New Vegas was 25% off during the sale - $37.50, and it'd released in Oct. and Mafia II released in August and ended up being pretty cheap as well

It's $70 on steam in Australia. Compared to all the stores... well I'll just link it:

http://www.ebgames.com.au/search?tit...imited+Edition

EDIT: Note that EB Games is owned by Gamestop. It's our version of it.

Kinda pointless to get it on Steam since it's a stand alone game right? We would wanna have enough process and resources for ram and cpu and gpu alone for the game. We don't need steam taking over.

Oh please. Steam uses barely anything. My computer has been running for 3 days straight now, steam is using about 20MB of memory.

explorer and svchost system services use much more than that. Quit whining about steam.

WoW, $69 for this? Not gonna buy

Talk about getting greedy

Edit, now it shows it as $59. Still too much

Wonder why Crysis 2 costs so much there, I pre-ordered a boxed copy of the game for about $16 on a local site.
