[IGN] Sony Begins PS3 Bans - Page 7

So tiring reading the piracy propaganda and lies. Have any of you wondered why these companies keep posting increasing profits and sales if piracy is ever increasing and killing the industry?

I suppose that's too much to ask of the average reader, who's more interested in others doing their thinking for them.

it's more tiring reading about "piracy propaganda"

piracy is real, it isn't something made up.

So tiring reading the pro-piracy propaganda and lies. Have you ever wondered why thieves continually alter their arguments as a means to justify their theft? Regardless of whether or not piracy is "killing the industry," money that rightfully belongs to the people who produced the work is being lost, which means less funding for future works, attracting the best talent, and investing into programs to further education and technology to, in turn, produce better talent and products for the future.

I suppose it's too much to ask of the average Liranan, who's more interested in others doing his thinking for him and doing the speaking for those doing his thinking.

I dont understand what the problem is. As soon as you remove the USB stick, you are no longer jailbroken, and sony will not know what you have done. Just disable internet when you wanna be jailbroken. And re connect the cable when you wanna go online again. Done.

Microsoft has been doing this for years with the 360. Too bad the hackers have outsmarted Microsoft and invented the stealth to still play bootleg games online without ever being detected
That's what sony should have done in the first place instead of trying to sue geohotz. I'm sure a stealthed version of the firmware will be out soon to allow people to still use PSN while still being hacked
I don't own a PS3 but I support the hacking of it.
Because I hate the idea of paying $200-$600 for something and feeling like it's not mine
And i hate big corporations so **** them all
It's not even that they're losing money but it's that they want to keep making billions of profits
hackers who give back to the people are like robin hoods of our era
It's a shame that people side with big corporations and are under the false assumptions that they're funding game developers

You can do whatever you want with your system as long as it does not involve piracy.
And i DO support sony. Not Hackers Which i feel has hurt the pc gaming community.

I'm curious.... what's the problem with getting a second system to play online with?

People did that alot when the new 360 came out, why trade in your old one for $50? Just keep it, mod it and don't go online with it.

Sony, like Microsoft, just doesn't want you to go online with a modded system, it's the only thing they can enforce about it. But unlike Microsoft, Sony actually sent people warning e-mails first.

Prove I 'pirate' and have ever changed my argument, troll.

Piracy = sales. It's been proven with books, music and films. I don't know about software and don't care, if piracy was such a horrible, horrible thing MS wouldn't keep posting immense profit reports. A study has been done last year, showing that if piracy was eliminated sales wouldn't increase by 1%, why do you think that is? You can desperately stand there squeezing a rock but it will never bleed.

I suppose it's too much to ask for the average troll to do even the slightest bit of research, rather than copy and paste the same lies they're fed on a daily basis.

Test driving a BMW = piracy of software, music and films. You need to try harder.
