Just picked up a temp 9800GT!

Thread Starter
I recently just put together a new PC but didn't have enough for a full-fledged GPU, so I picked up a used BFG 512mb 9800GT off Kijiji for $60. I'm also running on a crappy 1280x1024 res, so I hope I can run most games well...I'm used to dual 460s so I know I won't be able to max things like I used to. Anyways, what kind of frames can I expect with these games at 1280x1024?

PC:
Athlon X4 640 OC'd to 3.8
4GB RAM
m4a88t-v evo motherboard
HAF X
A70 Corsair CPU cooler

-Bad Company 2
-Black Ops
-Mass Effect 2
-Dragon Age

Thanks!

At that resolution I Suggest getting a GTS450

Yup, none of those are really that stressful on the GPU, especially at that res. 9800 GTs still have some muscle under the hood!

I used to have the 9800gt until i upgraded to the gtx460 few weeks ago.
With my system, I was able to play bc2 1080p high settings (no aa) no issues. But seeing you have a lower grade cpu, it will lower fps since bc2 is more cpu use.

Black ops, easily high settings.

Dragon age: Easily.

Basicly the 9800gt is still strong, its my favorite card since it plays any game no problem, Still.

The g92 chips are still strong contenders.
