Newbie at Water Cooling Needs Some Input

Thread Starter
I have a Xaser VI case that comes with a mediocre watercooling kit from Thermaltake (I forgot the model number). I am planning to replace it with a better LC system.

I am considering these two LC systems:
- Swiftech H20-320 Edge Liquid Cooling Kit
- XSPC Rasa 750 RX360 Universal CPU Water Cooling Kit

Questions:
- Considering that I have never done any LC installation, how difficult is it to replace and install a LC system? How long does it take? Is there any step-by-step tutorial that I can read?
- What is the difference between RX360 and RS360 from XSPC?
- What do you guys think I should go with my above LC selections?
- Do both LC system above allow me to cool multiple GPUs as well?

Thanks for your responses in advance.

- As long as you read around you won't have too much trouble. Just read here and the stickies and ask here.

- For multi GPU you will need to buy blocks for your video cards.

Well typically i would spend at least a day or more perfecting the look of it and making sure it works, this article is pretty good for explaining
according to general specs it just looks like the RX360 is just a better rad the the other
well to answer both of your question i personally would never those cooling kits (sorry they just suck) they both will only cool the cpu with the stock parts; with the swiftech one there is no room to cool gpu at all, with the xspc there will be some room for muliti gpu cooling if you buy the gpu blocks serpeatly;
my recomendations:
swiftech H2O-220 Xtreme Liquid Cooling Kit (for the cpu block i am assuming you are cooling the i7 980x as it says in your rig) with this kit you will have plenty room room for exspanding to gpu wc but you will still need to buy the gpu block

Both are good kits, but more people have the rasa kits over the swiftech kits. If you have questions, head over to the rasa kits thread. They can help you.

1. Take your time. Take a couple of days if you need to. Take your time to bleed your loop and leak test. Ask questions over here if you need to as well.

2. The RX rads are better than the RS because they are thicker and thus can dissipate more heat.

3. I would recommend the rasa kits. A lot cheaper.

4. Yes, provided you buy the GPU blocks.

personally it also takes me about a day to set it up. thats including leaktest flushing rads blocks etc.
-As for step by step instructions there allot of videos on You-tube to show u what to do.
-Diff between RX360 and RS360 litterally its the thickness the RX is thicker do rem exact diff but i want to say its almost 2x the thickness there for more cooling. But remember u wont see see a diff from RX and RS unless ur doing the Gpu setup.(room temp)
-Personally if u are going multi the RX and RS will be fine but only if u have the room in ur case should u get the RX
I also love the Rasa Kits to me they are amazing kits and are well worth the money. Best bang for ur buck they are 1 of the best kits to get
1 more thing if u do plan on going 2+ gpu run 1 loop on a 240/360 and cpu /etc on a diff loopkeeps ur temps down

RX is thicker and can be ran with slow-mid fans where a RS is thinner and should be ran with higher rpm fans for optimal cooling

So in my situation (2gpus+1cpu), are you saying that I should be running 3 loops by using 2 separate radiators (e.g. 240/360 for GPU and 120 for CPU)?

sorry for this noob question: am i right to assume that my current LC system is running at 2 loops: 1 CPU and 1 Chipset? check out this picture:

Second loop means when you have more than 1 pump and radiator and pretty much running a seperate "loop" for your lets say.. GPU block

So you cool CPU with 1 loop, and GPU with second loop

At least thats how I explain to myself haha since thats what I am doing
