Performance wise they are really not that different so I'd say go with whatever CPU is cheaper.

now my first question is, since he doesnt want to wait any more, if 1366 is still worth its money.

ram will be some nice ripjaws
graphics 560gtx ti (hope it fits into the budget^^)
and a corsair or xilence psu

so basically its about either waiting for i5 2500k or buying an i7 950.

awaiting your suggestions

edit: forgot cpu-cooler i think im goin with hyper 212+ since hes quite affordable in this budget
It's a shame he can't wait another month. You will get much more bang for your buck with Sandy Bridge. A 2500k is $230 USD, there isn't a 1366 processor closer than $50 to that one. The 1155 motherboards are cheaper than 1366, and so is the RAM.

If this was an upgrade from 1366, I'd say don't bother, but for a new build, to me at least, it seems a waste to go 1366 when you can wait a month and go 1155, and the difference in cost between MB, CPU and RAM is enough to go from a 560 to a 570 or possibly a 580.

i updated first post since i probably got him to wait, because the 1366 system would have cost him about 130 euros more than the 1155.
