Will someone help me root my samsung intercept? NEED HELP FAST

I neeed to root my samsung intercept with virgin mobile quick. I have used way to many minutes this month and only hve a few left. So I need to use sipdroid or any voip service but my phone has a bug where it cannot do voip because the mic sounds crappy and the audio comes through the speaker.

I have done some searching and found this. Basically need to load a different kernal or something from what I understand.

Here is the thread that explains it all. I dont understand any of it.

I don't have the intercept but have done it on the HTC Desire. For rooting I had to use unrevoked but am not sure how its done on your phone. Give me a few minutes so I can look so stuff up.

I was going to state that but I think this may be against the TOS so I am keeping my mouth shut.

I don't think so as I have seen many rooting and flashing rom threads on here and none have been closed. I will ask a mod before posting anything else.

If the phone is over 18 years old, it should be allowed.

I believe this is what you need first and foremost. The rest I'm not so sure about as there aren't any roms on XDA, maybe the devs are on other forums.
