Unfortunately, you can't. It is designed to either work or not work and not effect the phone at all though. If you just follow the instructions you should have no problems smile.gif

I believe this is what you need first and foremost. The rest I'm not so sure about as there aren't any roms on XDA, maybe the devs are on other forums.

Does this have the audio fix?

This is just a temp root. I could download z4 root but thats also a temp root. I need the kernal that fixes the audio for voip apps.

What do you mean by a temporary root? From what I understand it installs clockworkmod recovery and lets you flash kernels. If I'm wrong then your probably out of luck (XDA should have it), sorry redface.gif

EDIT scrap that, it is temporary. Have a look here, should be more helpful smile.gif

I have sent him instructions through a pm on how to get the kernel he wants but the issue is the usb driver.

I don't have the phone so tbh I don't know what I'm telling him exactly (HTC's work completely differently). Thanks for doing that smile.gif

I'm going to root it at my parents. They have vista. The drivers are for xp vista and the phone was released 4 months ago. How dumb is that.
