Stuff like this is hilarious because the elitists are the ones who are greedy and even though they'll get the same game at the end of the day, their experience is tainted knowing console gamers can also play it.
what is so fun about having a console teammate that cannot manage to go around a wall and continually just runs into it.
If you look back, i said this is a game that could easily port to the console without having to dumb it down for them.
I dont mind console players having the game as long as it doesnt effect the PC version. Take red orchestra 2 for example. That is a game that cannot be done on the console without seriously redesigning how it is played and how it looks. It is a PC only game because of everything they wanted to be done on it, and realistically they couldnt do it all on the console. So at the end of the day, many times the PC version is not the game we would have gotten had the PC been the lead.
PC and Console games need entirely different balance and gameplay controls. Thats not being elitist, thats being honest. BC2 is a great example of that, The weapons and accuracy of all systems is the same. But do to the extremely good accuracy and excellent play on the PC, the entire balance of the game was thrown off for a while.
Homefront is a good example of how to do console and pc versions of the same game. Weapon balance in terms of accuracy, handling, damage is entirely different. Along with taking advantage of better textures, dx10/11 and doing 1st person in vehicles. They are playing to all systems strengths, not just 1 and porting it over.
