help with selection !!!!

hi , currently have a cheap hd 5450 , and wanting to spend under $400
for card to play crysis etc. i would also like to have a 2 screen setup, 1 x 15" and 1x 24" ive got heaps of fans , although i dont want anything too noisy and hot!, and can be able to sli/crssf in future. but dont want card with crap i dont need? am looking at overclocking the cpu when i read up more on it.

I would go with the 6970, purely from the fact you already have an ATi card so less hassle with drivers and if you want Eyefinity you can do it on a single card.

Question is what games you like to play. I would consider the 570 being overall champ in what fits for most. If your games demands less, than a cheaper nvidia/ati equivalent.

The 6970 and the 570 perform pretty much the same in most games, the only reason I went with a GTX570 was because I wanted Physx

Pretty much with them, if you have that money to spend, get the HD 6970 or GTX 570. I personally would get the 570.

i would say go with the GTX570 as it runs a lot quieter from wat ive heard, plus it is just as powerful...

It run's rather toasty in my case as well to note. Stressing it's hitting 70. But there are pretty much no fans in this case.

the temperatures will be a lot better in the OP's case as it has better airflow i think.... 800D is made for watercooling more..

Ive been reading a little, and come across the tweaking a hd 6950 to 6970
ive just learnt how to overclock my i7 , a few weeks ago, and i feel that i could manage this.if, i go either one, i understand brands are similar, do i just pick the cheapest, or is there a particular one, im from australia , so my shopping store is most prob these guys
