I've had the same Asus monitor for about 2 years now and it's amazing, sucks you keep getting bad ones.

Ok, it's not a software issue. Did you try another video card?

i had similar issue when hooking tv up to comp.. What you need todo is ReInstall the video card driver...

1 think i experienced was no blue spectrum, 2nd tv was in black and white.. each time reinstalling driver fixed it.. For dead pixel.. that dead pixel it happens and sucks when it does

EDIT: you can also try and fix a dead pixel by gently massaging it

ASUS VH232H = TN panel

Don't expect much color accuracy from it. Like someone else has mentioned it is possible that they swapped the panel inside the later units to decrease overall costs. But I see why the OP did what he did. Sometimes you can't just throw a large chunk of change for upgrading to 3 monitors in one shot so you have to do it in increments.

That's the real issue here I think.

These are fairly cheap monitors for their size, but if you were so worried about color accuracy then you shouldn't have purchased a TN class screen. I'm sure if you invested in an IPS dell flatpanel you'd be happy as a clam. Otherwise you're just expecting too much out of this model. Reviews online even note that these screens have problems reproducing accurate color along gradations.

No, what I've done rules out all your suggestions.
If one monitor works individually and the other doesn't, it's not a driver issue.
And it isn't an OS issue either.

Goodness, reading comprehension fail.

Well, it looks like your research wasn't very thorough because Asus doesn't make monitors. Labeling Asus monitors all under one umbrella is a huge mistake since they don't make any of them. You should consider each model individually and ignore the name stamped on the front because it's irrelevant.
