Yes however, I think maybe some of us would want to have correct feedback for ensaid company.

Thanks for answering my question about the displayport adapter

Yes.

Thank you.

Yes.

You feel that Asus is unreliable? Despite that there are really only 3 types of monitors and they are all just rebranded with a sticker..

You're basically saying every TN panel is unreliable

That is all.

there are more than 3 panels, come on now. there are more than 3 panel technologies. there are definitely more than 3 panel manufacturers.

Sony makes their own LCD panels
Sharp makes their own LCD panels
LG Phillips makes their own LCD panels
Mitsubishi makes their own LCD panels
Samsung makes their own LCD panels
Chi Mei Corporation makes their own LCD panels
I think AOC/Envision does as well

and each manufacturer makes more than one panel. each panel has different specifications & quality.

then there are the manufactures who use the panels. They can buy different lots of panels based on whatever standard they want, in how they contract w/ their parts supplier. they can have a zero dead pixel policy like Samsung used to have (not anymore) and Aten has now, it could have the industry standard ISO 13406-2, it could have worse or it could have better.

Personally I agree with him in that I don't think companies should go changing LCD panels in a specific model. If they change any parts they should change the model number as well, so customers can expect uniformity.

Anything other I consider dishonest & a bait & switch. What's to keep them from releasing a great monitor, letting sites do reviews on it then switching it w/ a crappier LCD panel & selling it at the same price w/ the same model # tricking customers into thinking they're getting something they're not? It's essentially false advertising.

Yes, I do feel Asus is an unreliable company.
Even if their TN panel is not manufactured by them.
As a comparison, the Corsair H50 is a rebranded Asetek product but I still expect reliability from Corsair.

I completely agree. Conforms with my above ^ statement that Asus should still be reliable even though they don't manufacture their own TN panel.

Thank you for the detailed response, +rep.
I won't be buying an Asus monitor again.

Thanks for answering my question about the displayport adapter
If I got eyefinity working in the first place, it's pretty much a given that the adapter is not at fault...

Plus after connecting a different monitor to the adapter, it yielded no difference.

PLEASE humour me. have the 2nd monitor plugged in with the primary. Reinstall the driver..

i am 98% sure doing this WILL fix your issue..

If you already have reinstalled the driver with the 2nd monitor plugged in i am sorry just got home from work tired and didnt wanna read for 20min to catch up since last post.

But please do what i suggested to to rule it out. one monitor will work no probs cause default drivers will take over. When the second is installed/ plugged in its a whole new story. The default drivers for it usually are horrible and have alota flaws, reinstalling the driver will detect the second monitor with the first and adjust everything accordingly.

So once again please just try this.. in the end whats worst situation u wasted 10min of your time...

I had a problem like this with my lg monitors. One of them had a really bad blue tint. I returned it and got a new one and everything is fine with my eyefinity setup now
