Just Cause 2 running poorly - Page 3

Okay, your IGP isn't able to handle DX10 decently.

Enough said.

BTW, for the soundcard stuff, most people aren't audiophiles like me, who have spent 100$ on headphones and $140 in soundcards, just because I get an orgasm every single time I hear a bass boom and a guitar solo.

Onboard sound is more than enough for most people while onboard video is.... well, crap.

Thread started going off in the right direction, Rico obviously doesn't want to hear the answer.

Here is why:
Just Cause 2

Minimum:
OS: Microsoft Windows Vista (Windows XP is unsupported)
Processor: Dual-core CPU with SSE3 (Athlon 64 X2 4200 / Pentium D 3GHz)
Memory: 2GB System Memory
Hard Drive: 10GB of free drive space
Graphics: DX10 compatible graphics card with 256 MB of memory (Nvidia GeForce 8800 series/ ATI Radeon HD 2600 Pro)
Sound: 100% DirectX 10 compatible sound card
DirectX®: Microsoft DirectX 10

Recommended:
OS: Microsoft Windows Vista SP1 or Windows 7
Processor: Intel Core® 2 Duo 2.6 GHz or AMD Phenom X3 2.4GHz or equivalen
Memory: 3GB system Memory
Hard Drive:
Graphics: DX10 compatible graphics card with 512 MB of memory (Nvidia GeForce GTS 250 series/ ATI Radeon HD 5750 series)
Sound: 100% DirectX 10 compatible Dolby Digital 5.1 sound card
DirectX®: Microsoft DirectX 10.1

If you need some general idea of how low on the totem poll your card is, click here.

Edit:
After reading his last two posts its obvious he just wants to claim Just Cause 2 is a "poorly optimized" game. There was no point to this thread, nor did OP have a legit question. Moderators, feel free to delete this waste of time.

I want to hear the true answer, why this game running few times more slower than many high quality modern games? Those specs dont say anything, cept video. I already said my vid runs ALL other games just good enough to me, not like JC2. Why such a low quality port from these devs? I want to know about it, and I have some rights on it, because I've spent my money on it and just want to run it at same speed, graphics quality and resolution as other "console ported" games. Do I really asking for much?

I know. My headphones are Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro and DAC on Prodigy is same as on Juli@, which sounds great to me (btw ASUS soundcards has worst software I ever experienced, not acceptable for games, barely acceptable for music, if you dont believe me - just check foobar2000 faq about it). But we're talking here not about sound quality response, but about fps.

One game working, or five games working does not equal ALL games working well.

Its your fault for not playing a demo to see if it runs on your system, to look at system requirements of the game which took me 7 seconds to find. You spent your money without any research or testing, and then are surprised that your video card which is half as powerful as my smartphone can't play the game. You should grow up, accept responsibility, and test the waters out in the future before blowing money on a game, which is in no way guaranteed to work on your system, directly stated by the developer.

You don't buy a PS3 game and put in a 360 do you? Then get angry when it doesn't work do you? No, because you know its not supposed to work. Why? Because the developers specifically tell you by either putting it a PS3 or Xbox 360 case. This is no different then a developer telling you hey, if your computers GPU isn't up to snuff, this game probably won't work. You also have to buy the hardware on a console to play any of those games, something you have failed to invest in on your own computer, so really, you are trying to put a 360/PS3 game into a DVD player because it has a DVD drawer.

The developers take NO responsibility for your poor research. Just because you can run game A doesnt mean you can run game B and that is a fact. Why would they bother optimizing a game just for you and only you, since I doubt, that anyone with a integrated graphics card has even attempted to play this game at all.
Your GPU horsepower is not suficient, fact.

Honestly, just spend $50 and get an 8800gts or something... then you wouldn't have to make a thread like this. No sense buy high end parts and cheap out on the gpu. Just my 2 cents.

I don't use onboard sound. And you can't compare video cards to sound cards, it's like comparing giraffes and chairs, it's completely absurd.

Quote:
I hate buying a new videocard like every half of year
Actually, a decent upper mid-end card could last you for (potentially) four years without any major performance and quality issues.

Quote:
games running awful on older one
What did you expect? You video card is not meant for gaming, an onboard video is simply a "bonus" feature for people who don't want to buy a dedicated card because they don't play video games. Jeez, even a ~$70 card like 5670 would be a MASSIVE improvement over your 4250.

Quote:
Because I'm ok with 15-25 fps
Wow. I mean I get if somebody's ok with medium details instead of high (hell, I'm kinda ok with it, considering my crappy 8600gt), but 15 fps? Why do you even play games? You bought Windows 7, you buy games, but you'll rather watch a slideshow than spend a ~$100 on a video card??? What planet are you from?

For some VST processing. I'm an amateur electronic musician. Considering ram, shouldn't be dual channel + additional dual channel working in solo same as triple? Some marketing crap again, as well as quad DDR3 - 2 duals?

Guys, you know, I'm counting "every cent" on everything, thats why I'm probably have everything I want with average work. Games are just my little passion (not as huge as movies and music tho, but future of game development will tell), which was really big in childhood. You know me, games were better in past, console or PC. I own an Xbox 360, PS3, and Wii user as well, but this crap is pissing me off. I was intrigued by huge gameworld and hi-level gta gameplay with good gfx and decided its a worthy purchase plus W7 as a bonus, which is a "bit more" costy. You know what's happened next. How do you will feel on my side?
And smartphone gpu in miles away from my onboard card, thats just funny RagingCain mentioned that. Just look at Dead Space on Iphone (PS1 graphics), that should tell something about modern phones capabilities.
Last, I don't want to invest in additional gpu, its just don't worth it, exclusive PC games market is dead. JC2 is just an poor exception.
