Corsair Vengeance Cooler?

Thread Starter
Which cooler would you take for the Corsair Vengeance RAM?

Currently considering the Zalman CNPS-9900 MAX, would it be good enough for a 4.5ghz overclock on a i5 2500k?

Any suggestions are welcome, aslong as they're around the same price range (50-60 euros) and does the job well without beeing too noisy and fits the RAM.

Thanks in advance.

I hear that RAM fans aren't necessary at all. They are just for looks. Also, 4.5Ghz is not overkill for a i5 2500k. Don't worry about the RAM heat.

Yeah, but will this Zalaman be good enough for that kind of overclocking or should I invest in a better cooler?

Anyone who could help out?

Will Zalman CNPS-9900 MAX be enough for my needs or do I have to worry about the cooling for my 4.5Ghz?

(Asus Deluxe board).

The thread title sounds like you are asking about cooling the memory, are you wondering whether the cooler will fit with that memory installed or just if it is a good cooler for the cpu?

Sorry for this. I'll be more clear. I'm about to order my new build (i5 2500k, Asus Deluxe board and the Corsair Vengeance RAM)

The last decision I have to make is to find a cood CPU cooler that can handle a 4.5Ghz overclock and fits with the Vengeance Ram. Been thinking about this Zalman CNPS-9900 MAX, but i'm not sure if it can handle the temperatures for the overclock I intend to do.

Will it be enough?

Sorry for confusion but english is not exactly my first language

The Zalman 9900 MAX is one of the top air coolers on the market right now and it will be able to cool your 2500k handily at 4.5Ghz. The 9900 MAX can cool Sandy bridge's clocked up to 4.8Ghz to 5.0Ghz, depending on what batch they are, so you will have quite a bit of headroom.
