why does my droid x get so hot?!

My droid x is overclocked at 1.35, not that crazy and i've been dealing with really weird reboots here and there, just shuts off n turns back on, I thought it was due to an unstable overclock but my friend has his droid x at 1.35 also and says his is fine. I can deal with occasional reboots but the heat that's being produced is another thing, my phone usually runs between 88-94F...and then out of nowhere it'll get a random spike and jump up to like 113F !! Then will cool back down, all while I do normal phone navigating, through pics, files, internet etc...its almost hard to hold my phone when it gets that hot, it literally feels like a hot pocket fresh out of the microwave! Lol. Whys it gettin so hot?!

No active cooling, it's overclocked....every cpu is different....

We could go on forever here.

Droid X gets hot on stock settings alone. Uses 3g for a while and it gets toasty.

My X has done a couple of random reboots on complete factory settings while just watching youtube vids and then trying to start up another app like angry birds or something. It also does get very hot too after an hour of Angry birds.

Yeah, mine gets hot too, stock speed. Just above the back speaker. It happens while running any games or watching videos for any length of time.

when I got mine new, the phone would randomly reboot without warning a few times a day. I had to get it RMA'd and they just swapped it out for a new one. I haven't had any rebooting issues whatsoever with the new one.

My desire heats up to around 35c when overclocked to around 1.2-1.3ghz, the extra voltage and completely passive cooling lets it reach those sorta temps... tbh it isn't worth it though, I feel no difference in cyanogenmod.
