FATAL ERROR: Rounding was 0.5, expected less than 0.4
Hardware failure detected, consult stress.txt file.
FATAL ERROR: Resulting sum was 69173550711802.52, expected: 69171269010426.97
Hardware failure detected, consult stress.txt file.

Any help on what this means? It stopped two workers, with a "error"

And im testing for stability, so any help would be appreciated, I tried using the p95 help file but it couldnt find it.

Need to up Vcore a notch or two.

A bit more info please. How long into the prime95 run were you? What is your vcore voltage, memory voltage, memory speed, running 21 or 23 multiplier, and is HT on?

HT on, 21 x 200, its a preset "ez overclock" I tried it, because 185 x 23 @ 1.36v got me a BSOD.

I just ran linx, and got a bsod, but it just appears to be a bunch of 0's

Rounding can also be memory, which may need either VTT or vDIMM voltage adjustments. You may also need to loosen your timings or make sure they're set correctly.

The best way to test memory is with HCI Memtest, it will find errors which only show up in Windows while boot mode Memtest86+ might pass.

You have an i7 950, so if HT on split all your available memory among 8 instances of HCI Memtest, if HT off split your memory among 4 instances.

Ex: 5600MB available memory with HT on = 8 copies of HCI Memtest testing 700MB each. Run to at least 1000% coverage without errors, 5000% 10000% for longer term testing.

What are your bios voltages set at?

Do not leave them at auto, the fluctuate too much. Also do you have the power save features disabled? C1E (C State) EIST, Intel SpeedStep.. These should be disabled for overclocking to leave your cpu running at what you set it to in bios..

Don't use ezoverclock.

For 4.2ghz set it at 21x200, vcore to 1.35v (might have to be bumped up or down depending on your chip) turn off all cpu power saving features, and set your memory voltage to the specified voltages as per the memory manufacturer (likely anywhere from 1.5v to 1.65v, check newegg if you don't know it), and your QPI voltage to 1.275v.
