ati2dvag.dll BSOD sometimes

ati2dvag.dll BSOD device driver infinite loop

windows xp when watching youtube videos in a foreground tab, with others loading in background tab... gpu is 3850 agp, not OC either...
what happens is usually i will be watching flash videos when this happens.
first thing to go is everything locks up but the mouse cursor still moves, then about 10 seconds later BSOD pops up.
any one know what this problem is and to fix it besides 'just upgrade to newer driver versions' because it happened before with last version of drivers before i updated them again.

This happened to my 2600 pro agp. I fixed it by installing the old drivers off the cd rather than the newest online ones.

http://forums.amd.com/game/messageview.cfm?catid=279&threadid=135283&messid=1141889&parentid=0&FTVAR_FORUMVIEWTMP=Branch

also full screen videos did not work until i installed AVIVO (in the custom ati install option) .
